Clackamas Fire Department Training Center and Warehouse

Architecture prioritizes operations at fire department training center

The Clackamas Fire Department’s training center and warehouse renovation improves functionality, efficiency, and how the spaces are experienced by those using them. The architectural approach responds to the department’s operational needs while delivering a comfortable interior environment, an important balance for an essential services facility. At the training center, a new reception desk welcomes visitors, and the existing training room now has an operable partition to increase space flexibility. The training center also received a new washroom, a breakroom expansion, and flooring and paint throughout. The training warehouse includes an expanded gym space and locker rooms, a new turnout dry room, and a new bailout demonstration space above a stick-frame classroom.
