Junior Interior Designer

For the position of Junior Interior Designer, we are seeking a candidate with strong design and technical skills, augmented by a proven ability to take a project through all levels of development and communicate professionally and effectively with our clients.

Only resumes supporting the following qualifications and experience will be considered:

  • Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree

  • 1-4 years professional experience in design and construction document production

  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), SketchUp required. Hand sketching is a plus

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and consultants, while being mindful of project budgets and schedules

  • Interest and general knowledge of Sustainability, Building Codes, and designing for accessibility (ANSI)

  • Basic documentation experience for Floor Plans, RCPs, Elevations, and Section details

  • Organizational skills to directly coordinate with materials library and products

  • Coordinate with product representative vendors for library maintenance and internal updates

  • General knowledge of Construction administration

  • General knowledge with specifying and assembling FF&E bid packages, purchasing, field verification and installation of FF&E preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with current interior products, finishes, and lighting

  • Ability in Programming & Research for a variety of project types that include branding and style precedents, community outreach, space studies, and conscientious budget review
