Clackamas Community College Randall Hall Renovation
Seismic renovation makes campus more resilient
Clackamas Community College’s (CCC) Randall Hall is a 1970s concrete Brutalist building used as an athletics facility on the campus. SEA partnered with CCC to perform a seismic renovation, reroof, and aesthetics refresh for the Hall, giving it new life. As part of this work, the gymnasium received refinished floors, new bleachers, and new lighting. We also refreshed the staff offices and the weight room, and upgraded the entire building’s accessibility. As part of the seismic renovation, we collaborated closely with our structural engineering partner, Catena Consulting Engineers, to seamlessly integrate a new concrete shear wall inside of the gymnasium into the existing structure.
