Steeplejack’s first location is a church that was preserved and converted into a brewery. This new brewery is conveniently located off Highway 26 but is adjacent to farm and untouched wetlands — there is the feeling of visiting a remote destination even if guests are just minutes from the city.
The brewers’ brand is centered on a church’s iconic steeple, and it was important to carry that brand over into this new taproom. SEA took inspiration from traditional church architecture — the brewing tanks are arranged like a pipe organ, creating an altar-like feature for guests to experience and admire the craft of brewing. The space’s design also incorporates salvaged pieces from their first location’s preserved church, including pews. Once complete, Steeplejack Brewing West will feature a canning line, restaurant, space for live music, and numerous other interactive elements for guests to enjoy.
