Cornelius Place Library
Working closely with Bridge Housing, Bienestar, and the City of Cornelius, S|E A designed the Cornelius Place project as a gateway into the heart of downtown Cornelius.
Details
Cornelius Place creates a new gateway into downtown Cornelius. The 48,000 sf structure features an outdoor plaza and ground floor library that engages with main street. The 13,500 sf Cornelius Public Library features large and small meeting areas, computer rooms, children and teen sections, and a reading area with fireplace and coffee shop. The second and third floors house Cornelius Place Apartments, 45 low-income senior housing units wrapped around an outdoor plaza. The plaza faces the bustling downtown, creating an opportunity for seniors to interact with local citizens.
