The existing tenant improvement space was long and narrow with 16 foot tall storefront along the east façade. The program was oriented in such a way to allow the natural light to penetrate deep within the space through glass walls separating the loan officer stations. Vertical cedar planks arc across the entry ceiling, dropping behind the main teller desk to create a central focal point and celebrate the height and expansive natural light of the space. It was important to the client that this branch not only attract users through design, but also by addressing the needs of this generation through technology. Through the technology hub at the front of the space and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a teller, this branch successfully addresses the client’s business model and helps to add an innovative dynamic to credit unions.
