STRUCTURE + STYLE 2017: DESIGN WINNER

Whole House Under 3,000 Feet

Designed by an architect for himself and his family, the 2,500-square-foot Moapa House renovation and addition transforms a dark and choppy 1970s ranch-style house into a home full of natural light and a strong connection to the outdoors. This project is unique in that the architect also played the role of owner and contractor. This allowed him to focus on the sustainable practice of reusing materials in a way that would have been difficult otherwise.
